SMA ANNOUNCES NEW BOARD AND EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

Strategic Market Alliance (SMA) has appointed three directors to leadership roles on the cooperative’s board of directors.

John Vozzo, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Singer Equipment Co., has been named board chairman. Travis Brady, president and CEO of Brady Industries, has been appointed board vice chairman, and John Caldwell has assumed the post of secretary/treasurer.

Newly appointed directors Mark Melzer, president of NASSCO, Inc.; and Greg Rogers, president of Cosgrove Enterprises, Inc., join currently serving directors Robert Tillis, CEO of Imperial Bag & Paper Co. LLC, and George Abiaad, president of Royal Corp. on the SMA board.


Additionally, SMA has named the following executive committee chairpersons for the coming term:


Member Relations Committee: Mercer Stanfield, president, Brame Specialty Co.
Foodservice Committee: David Scalen, president, Regional Distributors, Inc.
Commercial Wellness Committee: Mike Nelson, president, W.E. Nelson Co.
Operations and Logistics Committee: Ryan Law, chief operating officer, Brady Industries
Technology Committee: John Poole, president, Daycon.
