BOXING
- Match your box to the size and weight of your item(s).
- Use corrugated, double-walled cardboard boxes for heavier items and to provide extra protection.
- Do not overpack boxes. Ensure there is enough room for cushioning and proper closure.
CUSHIONING
- Choose cushioning materials with enough density to keep items from shifting.
- If possible, ensure no items are touching the walls of the box.
- Wrap and tape all sharp or protruding edges. Bind printed material together.
SEALING
- Apply at least three strips of packing tape (no duct or masking tape) that is at least 2" wide evenly across all flaps and seams, top and bottom.
- Make sure the base is strongly secured.
SHRINK WRAPPING
- Squeeze about 8” of the end together into a loose rope shape and thread around all 4 corners of the pallet.
- Wrap base 4-5 times going underneath corners. Work upwards making sure each layer is securely joined to previous layer.
- Stretch plastic as much as possible - the more “stretch” you take out, the more firmly it will hold. Add pallet straps to secure.
REMEMBER: Dispose of or recycle materials responsibly.
